Overly patriotic Americans annoy the sh*t out of me. Look at me, I am a PROUD AMERICAN! Look how exceptional and ic I am! I don't know, does anyone else get bothered when you see someone blanketed in flags and red white and blue? I always just assume that person is uneducated in civics, history, and govt and is a "blow those arabs up" kind of "America first" republican… Does anyone think Nie could pass a citizens exam? I'm just being unnecessarily mean now I think..

I'm not usually a pearl-clutcher, but that's a serious recipe for a weird and bad accident to happen. "Local child gets impaled with flag pole on 4th of July."

I have an acquaintance whose preschooler found a disassembled Swiffer broom and was running with it when he fell onto the end of the hollow metal pole with his open mouth. It pierced his soft palate and nasal cavity. She tried to pull it out of his mouth but was unable to dislodge it, so she called 911. When the paramedics arrived they told her that if the removal attempt had has succeeded, her kid would have bled to death on her kitchen floor.

It only takes a second for an accident to happen.

I saw something similar on Love Taza. The children were jumping off the coffee table onto the sofa (as if that isn’t bad enough) with lollies in their mouths. Clueless

I know that when I went to Girl Scout camp, my most eagerly-anticipated portion of the week was the part where I had to sit around and feign interest at hearing the "love stories" of my friends' moms and dadsand pretend I hadn't heard my own mom talk about hers 1,298 times before.

If I were 12-18 years old I would beg for toilet cleaning duty rather than sit through that. They should call it Narcissism Camp.

Anywho….couldn't the camp counselors sit around the fire and discuss different careers? Like whatever happened to Claire wanting to go to school to become an RN? Nie is really pushing the marriage thing lately with Claire and Jane. Those girls don't have a chance unless C Jane kidnaps them for a weekend retreat of her own!

This is not the Mormon way. Emphasis, especially for young women, is marriage and children. Period. That PhD ain't getting you into the top tier of the Celestial Kingdom!

One of the "themes" at our girls camp this year was Education and we talk all the time about what they want to do with their education. I have one that's in a performing arts school for ballet and wants to go as far as she can with that, one that wants to be a surgeon and just graduated high school as a Dental Hygienist also so she can work her way through school, I could go on but my point is to remember what Nie does is the Nie. She's a nut job. I feel sorry for her ward and the Young Women in it. Not all Mormon women are up at girls camp crying themselves to sleep because they miss their husbands and talking about their greatest assets to nail down a husband at 18. Her post made me cringe, she is so pathetic.

Yes! I could not believe her description of laying on the cold hard ground thinking of Christian. I was like, you were only there a few days lady! She makes it sound like she was in a concentration camp tent. She is delusional. Also, extreme gagging at the thought of having to plunge my hands into her dirty greasy rat-nest hair to have to braid it. EW.
